a place where you can be you...

I Still Believe

After sixty-three years of living in what too often seems a cruel and heartless world, I still believe.

I still fervently believe in a benevolent and loving God.

I still believe in love.

I still believe in the innocence of children.

I still believe there is so much joy to be had.

I still believe that who you are as a person is more important than where you come from.

I still believe in the goodness of people.

I still believe in working hard for what you want.

I still believe in the magic of imagination.

I still believe in the kindness of strangers.

I still believe the best cure for the blues is to help someone less fortunate.

I still believe that quiet time spent in nature can heal the soul.

I still believe in the power of play.

I still believe that laughter is really good medicine.

I still believe that everyday prayer works wonders.

I still believe in lasting friendships.

I still believe a person’s word should mean something.

I still believe that art is essential to knowing who we are as human beings.

I still believe that how often one succeeds is not as important as how often one tries.

I still believe that when words fail, a simple touch is enough.

I still believe that in order to grow as a human being, listening is far more important than speaking.

I still believe in the strength and resiliency of the human spirit.

And mostly because of a sweet child who calls me gamma, I still believe in miracles.

You are so right in everything you said. I still believe also especially the friendship part. I probably haven’t seen your sister Lou in 20 years and I still consider her one of the best friends I have ever had.

That’s awesome Denise. In a time when people come and go so quickly through our lives, it’s so comforting knowing there are those who we can always turn to if we need them. ❤️

And I still believe a week in Georgia beats two feet of snow in New York.
I believe into each life a little rain must fall, and it’s up to each of us to determine if that’s good or bad.
I believe for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
I believe family beats two pair with an ace

Love it! Love it! Love it! I still believe in the goodness of humanity and this world even though we live amongst so much non believe and awfulness. I am right there with you! Love you girl.

I believe in the power of goodness
I believe there is strength in numbers
I believe if we each shine our light we can show others the way.
    Light penetrates darkness.
Darkness can only take hold if we give up and allow our light to be extinguished.

And I believe we cannot let the darkness take hold…

      Never give up.

      Never.
