A Change of Pace
Ok, so I didn’t actually write a post this week.
An author that I follow on Facebook posted a free creative challenge for this week and I took her up on it–along with 1700 other people.
I had to pick something creative (it could be anything) and commit to working on it each day in very small blocks of time.
I suppose I should have chosen writing a blog post, but I think that would have defeated the purpose. I was going to do that anyway.
So I chose a small creative project I started a couple years ago and hadn’t finished.
I’m having a lot of fun working on it–actually allowing myself the time to really make some progress and enjoy the work.
When writing starts getting stagnant (as it does sometimes), it’s so nice to have something else creative to do that is miles apart from writing.
When the words won’t come, it feels good to do something with my hands for a while.
Something that involves color.
Something that is uniquely mine.
Something that brings me joy!
I’m sorry (not sorry) that I strayed. It’s been very refreshing and I may do it again someday!
Besides, Spring is almost here. We all need to breathe a breath of fresh air and try something different!

I look at your beads and charms and I feel a bit of envy. I have none of that with me and it’s something I’d love to be messing with right about now. But I am sure glad you have that stuff to work with and that you enjoy it.
But I must say that by writing that you didn’t write a post, you actually did write one. LOL
Enjoy the beautiful spring days to come. Love ya Sis!
Yeah, I just dashed off a post about not writing a post. I was feeling a bit guilty about using my writing time for fun! I sure have enjoyed the week of finally getting this done. You’ll be proud to know that last week, I chose 10 agents I like, researched how to submit a query to each of them, and promised myself to send those queries out by the end of the month. We’ll see what happens! ❤ Loving the spring here-no rain for the next week +. Warming up into the 70s, we’re working outside every day! I love you, too! If you need me to send you a few crafting things, let me know!
Love your craft work! Beautiful! I am also enjoying spring and am watching my knock out roses start to leaf out and my daylilies are coming up. I so enjoy watching the trees and bushes and even weeds sprouting. It is a sure sign of rebirth of God’s beautiful world he has given us to enjoy everyday. I am getting ready to repaint some of my yard art. Have a wonderful Spring. Love you my friend.
